“YOUR SHOPPING GUIDE” was born in 1954 when Gwen Lee borrowed $64 from her husband and went on to publish 2,000 copies for the local area! Since then the “SOUTHERN TIER SHOPPER” has grown to a circulation of over 23,000, delivered 100% by the US Mail.

The Shopper is now run by Gwen's daughter, Bonnie, and son-in-law, Dennis Colado who are active partners with over 30 years in the family business.

Representing the Shopper on the road are our three salespersons - Robert Gelder - Sue Smith and Chris Stilwell. In the office you can find Dan Dugo, Rita Butters or Maggie Hanley-Wells taking care of ad layout and classifieds, as well as, Lois Fullmer in charge of accounts receiveable. If you were to stop by really early on a Tuesday morning, you would find Carolyn and Jeanne, helping to prepare your Shopper for the mail.
